About us

Welcome to our blog! We are the tag team duo of Katie and Andy. A little bit about us. We both grew up around the city of Indianapolis, and have become quite the travel enthusiasts. Our travels have taken us to a lot of destinations in the U.S. We also found ourselves living in the ultra-deep south in Naples, Florida. We have spent a lot of our working lives in the Hospitality Industry. We believe that having spent so much time working in the industry, it has allowed us a different perspective on a lot of restaurants and bars. We are here to help folks find destinations in our beloved city that may be off the beaten path, or places that us locals like to go and enjoy a night out on the town. We want to keep it positive and upbeat, while also providing fun facts and pictures. Another aspect we want to add is the, “He Said She Said” approach. Since it’s rare that two people have the same thoughts, we’ll include each other’s thoughts. Now, more about each other in our own words.

About Katie

Hi, I’m Katie! I grew up in Carmel, which is just north of Indianapolis. After high school, I went to Indiana University and after many years off I am now back at IUPUI studying Tourism Convention and Event Management. I truly believe that traveling is good for the soul. Put me in a new country with someone I love, and I will be as happy as can be. I love all things girly – glitter, flowers, fruity cocktails – but I still know how to rock out to my “loud, scary music.” Some of my favorite days are our “Adventure Days.” We don’t have any plans or destination, we just go and explore. We seem to find some amazing hidden gems, many of which we will be showcasing on our blog.

About Andy

Hey folks, I’m Andy. I’m just a regular guy with a passion for good food, great drinks, and sports. I grew up in Brownsburg which is about 15 miles west of Indianapolis. I grew up playing all kinds of sports ranging from basketball and football to running track and swimming. I attended IUPUI and I joined a fraternity, TAU KAPPA EPSILON. It wasn’t until I met Katie that I realized that I wanted to travel, and enjoy in all the libations and foods that the world had to offer. When we first thought of the idea to create a blog, it seemed a bit far-fetched. Although the more I thought about it, it seemed to become a better idea by the day. Everywhere we go we ask locals where to go, what to do, so why couldn’t we create the experience in blog form? But don’t worry gentleman, I’m not going to let this become a blog that is only about the pretty decor in places. But we will also include places to catch the games, while also stuffing your gourd with some amazing food and beer… of course. That’s not to say that Katie doesn’t also like the game experience and the tailgating fun. We’ll try to bring you the best of both worlds.
